Independent academic research on child development and early-life factors
Help us better understand factors associated with child development. The Child Development & Early-Life Factors Survey compares family, pregnancy, birth, early-life, health, social, environmental, and developmental characteristics across children with different developmental outcomes.
Association is not causation. This research looks for patterns and associations. It does not prove that any individual factor causes ASD or another developmental condition.

Who should participate?
Parents, legal guardians, or primary caregivers of children under 18
Whether your child has an ASD diagnosis, another developmental condition, is currently being assessed, or has no known developmental concerns, every child’s story adds to the bigger picture.
