About the study
Child Development & Early-Life Factors Survey
This independent academic study looks for patterns across children with and without an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis, children currently being assessed, children with other developmental conditions, and children with no known developmental concerns.
What this study does
It compares family background, pregnancy, birth, early-life, health, social, environmental, and developmental characteristics. It preserves uncertainty as valid data and supports anonymised statistical and machine-learning analysis.
What it does not do
It does not diagnose autism, replace assessment by a qualified healthcare professional, or treat association, correlation, feature importance, or prediction as proof of causation.
How privacy is protected
The questionnaire does not require the child’s name, exact date of birth, school, exact address, government identifier, medical-record number, or respondent email. Only consented responses are included in research exports.
Your choices remain separate
Completing the research questionnaire does not require joining a community. Journal content, group memberships, account identities, inquiry messages, and media uploads do not automatically become research data.
Academic purpose
This questionnaire is conducted for educational and academic research purposes as independent follow-on work related to a previously completed Capstone project. Participation is voluntary, and you may stop at any time.
Screening status
No behavioural screening instrument is deployed until an age-appropriate validated instrument, licensing basis, exact items, scoring rules, and interpretation have been approved.

As a parent of a child with ASD, I hope to use responsible, anonymised data analysis to contribute to a better understanding of child-development patterns and factors associated with ASD.
