How information is handled

This portal separates research responses, inquiry information, account access, and any future community or journal data. Information collected for one purpose is not automatically reused for another.

Effective 13 September 2026

1. Information collected

Research questionnaire: structured caregiver responses about family background, pregnancy, birth, health, environment, and development, plus a random participant reference and technical draft-resume token. The questionnaire does not require a child’s name, exact date of birth, exact address, school, government ID, medical-record number, or respondent email.

Inquiries: inquiry type, message, optional name, and email only when a reply is requested. Inquiry records are stored separately from questionnaire responses.

Site analytics: high-level page and interaction events. Questionnaire answers, diagnoses, child age, health information, region, income, free text, email addresses, and participant references are not sent as analytics event data.

2. Why information is collected

Questionnaire data is collected for voluntary educational and academic research about patterns associated with child-development outcomes. Inquiry data is used only to review and respond to a question or concern. Analytics is used to understand general site use and improve navigation and completion experience.

3. Separate choices and datasets

Research consent is separate from browsing, analytics, an inquiry-form acknowledgment, account access, and any future community participation. Inquiry messages, account details, journal entries, community posts, group memberships, and uploaded media are not included in research exports.

4. Access and processors

Research responses and inquiry records are accessible only to authorized research administrators for their respective purposes. The portal uses ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure for hosting and database processing, and Google Analytics for limited usage analytics. These providers may process information on infrastructure outside the Philippines under their applicable safeguards and terms.

5. Retention

Submitted research records are retained for the study period and any reasonable academic verification period, then deleted or retained only in irreversibly anonymised or aggregate form where appropriate. Incomplete drafts may be removed during routine operational cleanup. Inquiry records are reviewed periodically and deleted when no longer needed to respond, manage a privacy concern, or meet applicable obligations. Retention is reviewed against the sensitivity and continuing necessity of the information.

6. Security

The portal uses encrypted HTTPS transport, restricted administrator access, server-side authorization, parameterized database operations, validation, rate limiting for inquiries, security headers, and separate research/inquiry storage. No online system can promise absolute security.

7. Your choices and requests

Participation is voluntary, and you may stop before submission. You may decline research-data consent at the end of the questionnaire. For an access, correction, objection, deletion, or other privacy request, use Contact / Research Inquiry and choose “Privacy or data concern.” A participant or inquiry reference may be needed to locate a record.

8. Withdrawal limits

A submitted record may be removed where it can still be located and the request can be verified. Once information has been irreversibly anonymised, aggregated, or incorporated into completed analysis in a way that can no longer identify or isolate the record, withdrawal or deletion may no longer be technically possible.

9. Analytics

Google Analytics 4 measurement ID G-GJ2QPK885T is used for page views and a limited set of non-sensitive interaction events: survey start, step completion number, survey completion, study information view, resource click, researcher profile view, inquiry open, and inquiry submission. Analytics events never include form answers, message content, email, participant IDs, or health information.

10. Scope and updates

This notice covers this research portal. Linked third-party sites apply their own notices. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date. Philippine privacy principles emphasize transparency, legitimate purpose, proportionality, security, and retaining personal information only as long as necessary.
